On Friday 30th June 2014, the peak industry advisory body for Chinese DNS operations, the Chinese Domain Name Consortium, voted during its annual meeting in Shanghai to admit TLD Registry Ltd as a member.

TLD Registry Ltd, owner-operator of the world's most popular non-English new gTLDs, .在线 ("Dot Chinese Online") and .中文网 ("Dot Chinese Website").

The CNDC was established on May 19th, 2000 in Beijing by the China Network Information Center (CNNIC), the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), the Hong Kong Network Information Center (HKNIC) and the Macau Network Information Center (MONIC). As an independent non-profit organization, the CDNC exists to improve coordination and cooperation between key stakeholders of Chinese domain names.

In addition to the founding NICs, TLD Registry joins fellow CNDC members SGNIC, APNIC, CONAC, the ITU, the IETF, the IMC, ICANN, Afilias, and .Asia.
